We all know that many network digital video recorders in the marketplace perform reasonably well on video recording. However, their remote surveillance ability is far from satisfactory.  Traditional DVRs incorporated with standard coder like MPEG-4 only output single video stream and thus lead to limited performance in both recording and transmission.

The research team of TeleEye noticed this problem and has devoted significant effort in the past two years to develop a multi-stream video coder which can solve the conflict. We are proud to launch the proprietary Multi-stream Scalable Motion Adaptive Video Coder SMAC-M for the CCTV market.

TeleEye RX Video Recording Server incorporating the revolutionary SMAC-M technology successfully delivers both simultaneous recording and efficient remote CCTV surveillance.  SMAC-M is the first video coder in the market that outputs 5 optimal and independent digital video steams instead of a single one. The streams at different bit rates cover all commercial communication channels available including Internet and mobile channels. Our customer can now use his own mobile phone to view live video of a TeleEye RX and at the same time not affecting the DVD quality recording there.

Moreover, SMAC-M compresses better and records 60% longer than MPEG-4. This saves HDD cost and reduces management headache for our customers. We believe TeleEye RX and the multi-stream SMAC-M technology will be well received by the market.
